Which file formats are supported by Turnitin?
Turnitin supports the following file formats:
- Microsoft Word™ (DOC and DOCX)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX, and PPS)
- Corel WordPerfect®
- HTML
- Adobe PostScript®
- Plain text (TXT)
- Rich Text Format (RTF)
- Portable Document Format (PDF)
- Hangul (HWP)
Files submitted using Turnitin must be 20MB or less (TXT files must be 2MB or less). PDF documents submitted via Turnitin must have OCR enabled -- meaning that their text can be cut-and-paste, rather than the entire document being saved as an image. Spreadsheets (such as Excel files) are not supported by Turnitin at this time.
